I first met Anna and Collin when they decided to get married at a favorite spot of mine in North Park: the Queen Bee Cultural Center. They trusted me to photograph their wedding back when Studio Merima Photography was a fledgling little business, and I can't be more grateful even to this day! It's a lot when someone trusts you with something so important, and it's something I try to never forget.
Well, as the saying goes, "First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in a baby carriage!" (Sorry for the lame joke!) Anna got in touch a couple of months ago to let me know that they were expecting, and I couldn't be happier for them! What a lucky photographer I am that they wanted me to document this time in their lives as well - thank you!
I soon learned that their growing family also included a couple of fur babies as well, so I started brainstorming a few dog friendly locations and we landed on the Coronado Dog Park. For those of you reading who have dogs, this place is a great beach for off leash dog walking - it even has a real bathroom instead of port-a-potties.
The pups were ready to play and they let us know by starting the mad dash down the beach from the get go :)
I love this image below - Collin got as much of a work out as the pups, chasing them around for a few family group photos.
I am still so impressed by how well Anna carried 8 months of pregnancy - not to mention her soon-to-be-mamma glow :)
Have I mentioned that there was a lot of running? Well, there was a lot of running!
Wait for me!
Wait, wait! What are you doing without me??
I can wait to meet the new addition so very soon! Keep an eye out for the 'updated' family photos in a few short weeks :)
