I love photographing extended families! It's such a joy to see multiple generations all come together from all corners of the globe, which is exactly what the DeHarpporte family managed to do over the holidays this year. It was so wonderful to get to know them on a beautiful San Diego winter afternoon - light jackets were needed (the horror!). My favorite was how the grandkids relaxed over the session and especially the mischievous photobomber that made his presence secretly known. I shared some of my favorites throughout, so you can catch him in the act too!

We decided to go off the beaten path for the session, on a short little trail in Morley Field. It's a favorite spot of mine - a place I chose for some of my own photos. I love the trees and the beautiful afternoon light - it's just photo magic! Once a beautiful family like this is added into the mix, it just can't get better.

Here's to a very happy 2015 to the DeHarpporte family - I hope they're able to spend many holidays just like this for many years to come!
